Gatorteers

Gatorteers are individuals that assist the WCGC in our efforts to be the best University of Florida Alumni Club! Afterall, Volunteers are fans of the University of Tennessee! Our Gatorteer program focuses not only on our mission as a Club, but also opportunities within our community.

Partnership with No Excuses University

Last year, the WCGC began a partnership with the No Excuses University program at schools in the Chicago area. The purpose of the program is to let children know that no matter what their social or economic background, it is still possible for them to go to college. We visited the classroom to teach the young Gators about the joys of attending college and passed on all the Gator traditions and cheers to the class. This year, our Club will be adopting an elementary school classroom in Schaumberg.

International Gator Day 2009

Each year, our Club participates in International Gator Day, a day where thousands of Gators around the world give back to their communities. This past May, our Club volunteered with Walk Now for Autism at Solider Field. Among other things we helped with checking in participants & providing encouragement at water stops. Our efforts helped in generating vital funds for autism research, while also raising awareness about autism.
